Rhodie’s BOW WOW Birthday Bash

Rhodie is the Canine Connection’s mascot. He is sweet, happy, smart, and fun. Those who have met him know him as the super jumper, able to clear any barrier with a single bound. Had I known of his skill in this area, I would have named him Jack.

It’s hard to believe that a year has passed since Rhodie’s first birthday party (and what a party it was – see photos of last year’s bash here). This year we are celebrating the TERRIFIC TWOs! We’ve got a line up of fun and frolic to celebrate the birthdays of Rhodie and all dogs!

This year we have a very special theme: dogs and children’s art! Students from Chico Art School have created masterpieces of Rhodie and their special dog friends. Beginning April 5, we’ll be showing this art work at the Canine Connection and featuring winners in several categories and age groups. The entries – close to 100 total pieces - are fun, colorful, touching, and just amazing! And, many of the pieces will be fore sale with a portion of proceeds to go to NorCal Aussie Rescue.

All afternoon – 1:00 to 4:00 PM
Contests, giveaways, and goodies! Plus, we’re offering 10% off everything in our store!

Dogs love birthdays too! But no presents for Rhodie, please. With you as a friend, he has all he wants. Instead, please give generously to NorCal Aussie Rescue or a shelter or rescue group of your choosing.

	Roger – Healthy Dog, Happy Day!

The recent, scary dog food recall made us all aware of the need to be even more concerned about the food choices we make for our dog.

Nancy Kerns, Editor of Whole Dog Journal, the national consumer magazine for dog lovers, will share ways to identify "superpremium" pet foods and choose the most appropriate products for your dogs. WDJ's editor Nancy Kerns describes her selection criteria for WDJ's annual lists of recommended products - what owners should look for, and look out for, when seeking "the best" foods.

This academy is designed for people interested in becoming dog trainers, and those who want to take their training business to the next level.
